Sacred Art of the Jindřichův Hradec Region
Housed in the Baroque Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, this redesigned exhibition presents Renaissance and Baroque altarpieces and sculpture. Its most important works include the Renaissance memorial epitaphs of the Thunkl family from 1579 and the Pirchan family from 1597, the Altar of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, created in 1625, and the Altar of Saint Anne from 1683. Two fine examples of Early Baroque memorial epitaphs from the Church of the Holy Trinity complete the display. The exhibition also features Baroque sacred sculpture, mainly from the Jindřichův Hradec region.

Die neu gestaltete Ausstellung in der barocken Kapelle Mariä Himmelfahrt präsentiert Altararchitektur und Bildhauerei der Renaissance und des Barock. Zu den bedeutendsten Werken gehören die Renaissance Epitaphien der Familie Thunkl von 1579 und der Familie Pirchan von 1597, der 1625 geschaffene Altar des heiligen Ignatius von Loyola und der Altar der heiligen Anna von 1683. Zwei qualitätvolle frühbarocke Epitaphien aus der Dreifaltigkeitskirche ergänzen das Ensemble. Ein weiterer Teil der Ausstellung ist der barocken Sakralplastik gewidmet, die überwiegend aus der Region Jindřichův Hradec stammt.
